MANU MIDHA
Manu heads Middle East Region for OYO Hotels. He started OYO business in 2018 and
scaled it to more than 200 hotels across KSA, UAE, Oman and Bahrain markets. He has
travelled extensively across ME and developed strong relationships. He is credited
with two successful exits in e-commerce, Infibeam through IPO and Souq through
acquisition by Amazon. He headed Electronics business for Souq.com in UAE. Prior to
Souq, Manu was Vice President, Planning and Strategy at Infibeam. He was responsible
for launching and growing BuildaBazaar in India and Middle East.
Manu started his professional career at JPMorgan Investment Banking as a Senior
Analyst. He Co-founded VidyaCenter,a marketplace for learning way back in 2007.

He is an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad and Mechanical Engineer from IIT Kharagpur. Manu
teaches E-commerce and Digital Marketing at IIM Ahmedabad and is an active angel
investor.

SHONAM KHAITAN
Shonam heads VC and Startups vertical for Amazon Web Services, for Russia, CIS,
Central and Easter Europe, Africa, ME & Turkey. He and his team help more than 36K
startups to start their journey on cloud, guiding them to build their MVP and
subsequently helping them scale with the right product market fit. Prior to moving
into this role Shonam was at Souq.com (MENA’s ecommerce Unicorn), where he was
responsible for managing 75% part of Souq’s Revenue. He also represented category
leadership during Amazon's acquisition of Souq, one of the biggest tech exits in the
MENA region. Prior to his stint at Souq, he was at Snapdeal.com leading category and
growth initiatives.
Shonam started his career with ITC Ltd.
He has an MBA from ISB Hyderabad, and is a Chemical Engineer from IIT Kharagpur.
Shonam is a mentor to multiple startup organizations and is an active angel
investor.

AMIT TRIPATHI
Amit has 20+ years of professional work experience across global capital markets,
investment banking, M&A and group corporate finance with reputed corporates and
financial institutions in India, Middle East and Europe. Currently he is heading the
strategic finance for OYO based in Dubai leading various financing and fund raising
transactions.
Amit has worked across Technology, Financial Services, Industrials, Energy, Oil& Gas
and Real Estate sectors and brings with him industry relationships and network with
global financial institutions, PE &VC industry, legal and financial advisory
network, GCC SWFs and global investment community. Amit started his professional
career with Reliance Industries Ltd.
He has an MBA from National University of Singapore and is a Mechanical Engineer
