SOLVE REAL PROBLEMS
Technology needs to be used to solve real world end user problems. This requires significant thought, problem solving and an innate ability to listen to customers.
USE OF AI / ML / CLOUD TECHNOLOGIES
We like startups using technology to build a strong moats. We believe the next decade will see the biggest value creation from startups who would leverage the power of AI/ML and Cloud.
INVEST EARLY
We typically back startups at Pre Seed/ Seed / Pre-Series A stages. That is where we believe our capital and advice can be best put to use.
Investment Process
We follow the below outlined investment process and take pride in being Quick (~ 2 week from connect to closure) in decision making. We do not have IC approvals to take given its our personal capital at play. Once we commit we are ready to wire funds.
- Review of Company Information Memorandum (IM) deck (1-2 days)
- Call with Founding team to clarify questions from the IM review (1-2 days)
- Quick review of SHA documentation ( 2 days)
- In parallel, collect a few references on the team; in some cases speak to end customers or actual product users to understand the voice of customer (5 days)
- Revert with an Investment decision - Yes or No, if Yes, then with the Size of the Investment
- Deal closure - SHA execution / wiring of funds (1-2 days)
